Erin McEnaney
I am one of the fourth-generation owners of the business started by my grandfather in 1918 after returning from foreign service in the Rainbow Battalion during World War II. As a teenager I traveled the road with my father as his packer and loading helper. Although I tried to escape from the irresistible lure of the moving and storage business by getting a college degree in geriatrics... by destiny or legacy, I was somehow drawn back in, and over the past 25 years have performed and accepted the responsibility for nearly every sales, customer service and general management function within the organization.
My career path at Rainbow Movers started in customer service but inevitable led into sales where I was successful in the areas of exhibits and trade shows, logistics, office and COD moving.
I transitioned into operations for a period, running my own branch for our agency and stewarding many of our diversification and expansion initiatives. More recently, I found corporate and international relocations a challenging new specialty. This was followed by assignments as General Manager of our Sales, Marketing and Customer Service departments.
My latest endeavor has been building and pioneering a new division of our company, Rainbow Senior Transitions Services, which is an emerging niche specialty that addresses the specific needs of the elderly and their families during times of lifestyle change or downsizing.
I currently live in an antique home we have been restoring in Chesterfield, MA. I live there with my family Nick, Tory, Alex and Maggie our Border Collie puppy.
