Even though moving your entire household seems like a giant task, it's really a matter of managing details...and the professionals at Rainbow can simplify it for you with our exclusive Home-to-Home process.

Our exclusive, personalized Home-to-Home relocation process will help simplify your move. Your Rainbow Representative and their Home-to-Home Customer Service Counselor will guide you through the Home-to-Home process:

  1. Pre-Move Counseling. This begins with an in-depth meeting with your Rainbow Representative. We'll walk you through the entire moving process and help you plan your move.
  2. Value. We'll help guide you through some money-saving steps before you move. You'll save money by lightening your load and we can show you how.
  3. Managing the Move. Your Customer Service Counselor, working with you, will manage your move every step of the way. You'll have one key contact for all of your needs.
  4. Settling In. Just because the boxes are delivered doesn't mean you're on your own, We'll follow up to see how you're doing and ensure you're well on your way to making your new house a home.
  5. Quality. Because we're not happy until you're happy, we employ a research firm to randomly call and survey our customers. At Rainbow we want to make sure you're smiling and satisfied with our performance.

People

At Rainbow you have an entire team to support you throughout your move.  Our training emphasizes a personalized approach, respect, care, and attention to detail.  Every employee is committed to doing whatever it takes to make your move right.

  • Relocation Consultant:  As your first point of contact, the Relocation Consultant starts your move off on the right foot and starts with your free in-home survey.  They will assess your needs and share them with your entire Rainbow moving team.  They will provide you with a customized plan, which includes the estimate, packing tips, and an explanation of the moving process.
  • Move Coordinator:  With all the details that go into moving it is reassuring to have someone that’s on top of it all.  At Rainbow that person is your Move Coordinator.  You have a question?  Your Move Coordinator has an answer.
  • Packer: Personal service and can-do attitude are the mark of every Packer at Rainbow North American.  Our Packers understand that no one knows your possessions better than you, and they encourage your involvement. 
  • Driver:  Our fully-trained Drivers are dependable and safe. We have a professional driver development program that puts northAmerican drivers through a detailed qualification process, including hands-on safety and customer service training.  Our Drivers are respectful of both you and your possessions.

Household Goods Moving Services

  • We can move you across town or across the country.
  • Interstate (State-to-state).  At Rainbow we have experience moving thousands of families from one state to another year after year.  We understand your needs and will involve you in the move planning process to support your state-to-state move no matter what the distance.
  • Intrastate (Local Move). Even a local move can be overwhelming and Rainbow is here to help you plan from start to finish.  We’ve been servicing Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut for nearly 100 years and have generations of satisfied local customers.

Storage for Household Goods

  • Not moving into your home right away? We can provide moving storage for you in a climate-controlled environment at a reasonable price.

Pack Like a Pro

  • What separates us from the pack?  For one, our packing.  Our professional packers do everything possible to see that your belongings arrive in the same condition as when it left.  We offer a wide range of packing services to fit your needs.
    • Full Service Packing:  Our trained packers do it all – leave all items right where they are in your home, and we’ll take it from there.
    • Fragile Only Packing:  You get the full pack service, but only for the items that you designate.
    • Self Pack:  We provide our free “Move Guide”  that offers great tips.  You can also ask your moving consultant for information on packing materials that are available for purchase.

Loading & Delivery

  • Getting your valuables out of your pervious home and into your new one can be tricky.  Luckily, we’re prepared for it.
    • Disassembly & Assembly:  From entertainment centers to beds to swing set, just tell us what needs to be disassembled and moved with you.  We’ll even put it back together for you at your destination.
    • Residence Protection Pads: Protect the railings, tight corners, and doors.
    • Carpet Covers: Keep high traffic areas clean.
    • Systematic Loading: Boxes are labeled and inventoried based on rooms and your needs upon arrival.

Tracking Your Belongings

  • A combination of technology and training ensures that once your possessions are on their way, you won’t need to worry about a thing.
  • WORLDTRAC is the industry first satellite communication system that can track a shipment’s location within 1,000 feet.  Our staff of relocation coordinators pays attention to all of the details of your move, and our WORLDTRAC® Satellite Tracking system keeps tabs on the progress of your interstate shipment. No longer will you have to wonder, "Where are my belongings?”

Protecting Your Belongings with Maximum Value Protection

  • We understand that your belongings are important to you, and it’s important to us that they arrive safely at their destination.  But there are times when an item might get damaged.  That’s why North American offers valuation protection.  It’s protection that resolves the situation quickly, keeping you happy throughout our relationship –no matter what.
  • There are two forms of coverage you can choose from at North American
    • Basic Liability Protection is no extra charge and provides repair or replacement up to a maximum of $0.60 per pound per article should your goods get damage or lost.  But when it comes to protecting your belongings, one size does not fit all.  The level of protection you need may be greater than what the basic liability protection offers.
    • Maximum Value Protection is our protection plan that gives you peace of mind.  It’s the most complete and competitive coverage offered, giving you full replacement protection on any item that is damaged during the move.  That means North American covers the cost to replace or repair the item, whichever is less, up to the full value of the item and deductible.  It even covers pairs and set of you complete shipment.
    • For instance, have a pair of matching lamps?  When you cover your shipment, if one is damaged beyond repair and we can’t find an exact replacement, we will replace the set*. (*See terms and conditions on the North American Protection Plan Worksheet and North American published Tariffs.  Complete replacement of multiple items sets of china, gold and silver flatware, and crystal glassware are excluded from pairs and sets protection under the Maximum Value Protection Plan.)
